Thank you for your interest in the Ford ASSET program at Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC).
The Ford ASSET program is designed to upgrade the technical competency and professional level of incoming dealership technicians. Students accepted to the program work alternate terms in Ford or Lincoln dealerships during the two-year training program, are paid for this on-the-job experience and students earn college credits for the Automotive Dealership Experience - Ford ASSET classes. Students in the Ford ASSET program learn from Ford certified instructors and are paid for on-the-job experience.
CAREER OUTLOOK: The growing complexity of the automobile, coupled with the need for highly trained technicians creates an excellent opportunity for a secure career.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES: The program can prepare you for a variety of positions in the automotive field including Automotive Technician, Shop Foreman, Service Manager, Parts and Service Director.
NATIONAL CERTIFICATION: All instructors are certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). All MHCC automotive programs are certified by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF).
